I Don't Want Art I Have to Think About Every Time I Walk By It
Updated: Nov 25, 2017
This new picture is called 'The Unravelling of R.R. Hood'.
The title of this blog is a quote from a former co-worker about one of my old pen and ink drawings.
Yesterday I sold 'Walker's Creek in November', a gentle non-threatening picture that actually sold itself.
Three statements that don't seem related but:
The woman who bought Walker's Creek told me she found some of my images frightening and that immediately cast my mind back twenty years or so to my co-worker who was not looking for a psychological melt down on her wall.
My problem is that I feel compelled to do things like 'R.R. Hood' but I also need to sell a few pictures every year.
Maybe I'll make a New Year's resolution about being more mindful of the market out there.
